Stanmore takes a Stand

Stand Up For Stanmore, a workshop to generate imaginative ideas to improve engagement in the community, was hosted by Stanmore Community Association on Friday 24 April 2015. Attended by over 30 participants from a wide range of Winchester’s influential institutions and organisations, it has already started to produce offers of help and advice.
Thought provoking speakers Sarah Bird from Timebanking and Ian Wilkey from Food Up Front spoke about how their new and creative approaches had brought communities together in an enduring way.

Stand Up For Stanmore – 24 April

Stanmore is hosting a workshop on Friday 24 April 2015 to generate ideas and offers of support from some of Winchester’s many influential companies and organisations.

The Stand Up For Stanmore workshop will take place at the Stanmore Community Centre and will look at ways to improve community engagement.

Thought provoking speakers Sarah Bird from Timebanking and Ian Wilkey from Food Up Front  will talk about initiatives which have stimulated communities elsewhere.

Stanmore Combined

Stanmore Combined has now fulfilled it's purpose and Stanmore Community Association is now taking on the mantel. A forum of local organisations and businesses will take place annually from now on under the name of "Stand up for Stanmore".
